The Natural Hair Phenomenon

The natural hair Phenomenon

Apparently, natural hair is the new sexy so it’s time to put a rest on those weaves. If you have heard anyone say that a black person’s hair does not grow beyond shoulder length? Guess what?? They lied.

Because our hair is naturally coily/curly and shrinks at any opportunity it gets, we miss the length in the bulkiness so we opt for relaxers.

If you like your hair relaxed, I’m not going to advise you to chop it all off to grow it naturally but you should know relaxers thin your hair out and as you comb/brush, your hair breaks, literally. as I like to feel like a problem solver, here’s my way to a healthier hair.

I drink Green tea almost all the time without sugar and honestly, it tastes bitter to the last drop but it does more good (an antioxidant) I’m starting to sound like a pro now… you can drink it or add to your shampoo, lotion or any other hair care products for stronger protection to your follicles. Yes I said so!
Potato or the water that is left after potato boiling also increases natural hair growth process. Let it cool and rinse your hair, after wash hair with your shampoo. It doesn’t sound sexy but it works.
Mix an egg with olive oil and apply the derived mixture to your hair. Wrap up with a towel or tight polytene bag and leave for an hour. wash off and apply hair conditioner. Repeat the procedure after two weeks if you like. I wanted to steam my one time and my hairdresser charged me just for this… Chei!, she added milk though.

So eat iron-rich foods like green vegetables, cashews, dried fruits, figs, and berries Also get enough essential fatty acids from walnuts, flaxseeds, fish and avocados are also important for healthy hair.

Oh! And water solves almost any problem.
